Moving Forward with Positive Intention…
A favorite line, from my favorite movie, is “It’s business, not personal.” Right now, this feels so inappropriate. Business is personal. How businesses treat customers, employees and communities is felt at an emotional level.
The way businesses make people feel has significant and direct impact on future behaviors and loyalty. Acting in ways that are uncaring or unjust don't get a pass because of “business decisions”.
Right now, businesses and customers need each other more than ever. Strong positive connections will be rewarded. It's why brand leaders should move forward with empathy and authenticity.
UNDERSTAND
what the people you want to reach are going through. How can your brand can best support their desires, frustrations and needs?
FOCUS
your brand strategy on the unique core purpose of your business. What products or services can you deploy to make people’s lives better?
CONNECT
with people on a personal level to bring to life the humanity of your brand. Think about how you want people to feel. What should you say or do that they will truly appreciate?
In the #NewNow, it’s about moving forward as best we can, with positive intention.
